Who We Are

SDR Law was established by Solange Davis-Ramlochan, who practices exclusively in the area of criminal and quasi-criminal law. We defend cases throughout the Greater Toronto Area at both the Provincial and Superior court levels. We work tirelessly to ensure our clients can access justice in a meaningful way. 


About Solange Davis-Ramlochan
B.A. (Hons), M.D., J.D.

Solange Davis-Ramlochan is a criminal lawyer who defends clients accused of criminal, driving, and regulatory offences throughout the Greater Toronto Area at both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. She represents clients at the bail, preliminary inquiry, and trial level. 

Solange defends clients charged with a wide range of offences including aggravated assault, assault, firearms use, theft, robbery, fraud, forcible confinement, failure to provide the necessaries of life, and many more. She has successfully defended clients charged under the Criminal Code, the Controlled Drug and Substances Act, and the Highway and Traffic Act. 

Solange has always been passionate about criminal defence and the unique space those charged with crimes occupy in our criminal justice system. She is a strong believer in the presumption of innocence and the right to a fair trial. Solange attended the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law where she volunteered as a Criminal Division Leader at the student legal 

clinic, Downtown Legal Services. She started doing criminal trials in her first year of law school and has not 

looked back since. 


Solange began working at Canada’s largest criminal defence firm, Rusonik, O’Connor, Robbins, Ross and Angelini LLP as a summer student and eventually joined the firm as partner in 2018. Solange gained an immense amount of court and trial experience before starting her own firm, SDR Law.

Solange understands that every client deserves a complete and focused representation from start to finish in order to address the individual needs of each case. She is dedicated to ensuring each and every one of her clients’ needs are met and that they get the best outcome no matter the charge.

The bail hearing is one of the most important aspects of your criminal matter and can impact both your liberty and your ability to prepare for your defence. We represent clients at bail hearings charged with a variety of offences.

Criminal Offences

All cases under the Youth Criminal Justice Act for individuals charged under the age of 18 years old.

Provincial Offences

Offences under the Highway and Traffic Act, including speeding and careless driving, as well as liquor licence violations, and municipal and city by-law infractions.
